The riverbanks of the river Traun are only a few minutes’ walk from the town center of Wels and offers numerous opportunities to relax and recover.

The riverbank in Wels leaves nothing to be desired for the rest. It is a pleasure to jog, cycle or inline-skate along the river Traun. Numerous seating possibilities invite one to linger, rest and enjoy. The sandy beach as well as some piers and footbridges invite you to take a jump or a dive into the water.
 
Not only the popular bar "Isolabella" near the bridge leading to Thalheim offers cool drinks while enjoying some good music and the view onto the river Traun. Also the recently opened “Café Traunzeit", which is located directly at the Traun-beach, between the railway bridge and the footbridge Angerlehnersteg, invites its guests to eat, drink and linger on the beautiful riverbank of Wels.
